Hello, my name is Katie McMullan.

I have worked in King Communications since 2019. I started out as a Retail Sales Assistant in Sligo. Since then I have worked in many different aspects of the business. I managed the store in Carrick On Shannon for over 2 years and enjoyed dealing with the public and especially helping people who had little understanding of phones and broadband and where they could make real savings on there plans. While working in Carrick On Shannon I helped cover in other stores around my area and training new staff who were starting out in business. This is where I found a love for training new starters and passing on the knowledge I had acquired over the years. There is never one day the same in the stores, every day is a learning day and every new query is something learned that can be passed on to someone new. Covering and training is what opened the door for me to become Regional Sales Manager. Myself and one other girl looked after 11 of our stores where we would drive sales and train in new staff.

As much as I loved this when I was asked to move to the offices in Cavan to train the field sales team it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. As a mother of 2 young children office hours suited me a lot a better and King Communications were always very obliging and supportive of that fact.

Since moving to Cavan I have helped work and train many different people in many different areas of the business, from the stores to the field sales team and the business reps. The office in Cavan gave me a great understanding of how the business works as a whole.

I did however miss the sales side of it all, so I have now entered a new role as the Local Business Account Manager.

There have been many changes in my time here with regards to my role, but one thing always stands true. That if you work hard and work well King Communications will always have a place for you and pride themselves on having happy and content staff members. There is so much room to grow in this company and in my time here I have seen many people work their way up.

I would highly recommend King Communications to work for and I’m looking forward to many more years here.
